Sample Recipe card templates

My recipe card templates work with Microsoft Word on a Windows system (97 and better).

PDF TEMPLATES
I provide copies of my templates for all who don't have MS Word. These types of templates can be opened in different PDF readers.

Most likely you already have this program on your computer, usually entitled Acrobat Reader. Although this is a wonderful program and I use it a lot, it's not so great for recipe cards because you cannot SAVE your recipes.

I recommend you to use Foxit pdf Reader instead. It does all the same things as Acrobat Reader, plus it lets you save your recipes.
It's free but at this time for Windows only.

You can download it from here.

If you'd rather not download, and you prefer to use Acrobat Reader, please remember to print plenty of copies for future use (save is not yet enabled in their free version.)

Click here for printing directions. Printing this way will ensure that all printed copies will be at 100%.

PAPER AND CUTTING

Print onto card stock (8.5" x 11" or A4).

Using a ruler and X-acto knife (or rottary knife) to cut your recipe cards is much faster and produces a straighter edge than when using scissors.

Place the cutting mat (or cutting board) underneath the printed card stock.

You can use a ruler as a cutting guide, just place it on the outside of the printed cards. Cut by pulling down following the ruler. Repeat for all sides of the area you are cutting away.
